Default Deep Wound effectiveness

I'm curious as to what people's views on Deep Wound are.

All it does is lower the max health of the person/monster by 20% right? So assuming they have 500 health, thats 100 health they're down by. Sounds pretty decent for damage in one move, but then what? This only is helpful if you do it right off the bat when their health is near full, otherwise they just wont be able to heal as much. But once I've got them hurt, I rarely let them get their health back up to the 20% mark.

It seems to me it just turns into an extra condition that they don't have to worry much about. (especially since it will go away eventually).

Is there something about Deep Wound that I'm missing?

It's a quick damage to their health, and it lowers healing on that character by 20%... i'd say it's a very good thing... stack that with defile flesh, and the spirit "predatory season", and you have a ton of healing that won't be effective on a certain player... it can be quite usefull

Defile flesh and deep wound are redundant in a bad way.

When you say healing is lowered, do you mean each heal is 20% less effective?

Otherwise, the healer simply can't perform the last heal (that would normally bring them to full health), which in my opinion isn't all that helpful.

It's one of the worst conditions to be hit by in the game along with Dazed. It creates a sudden spike in your HP and the after effect of reduced healing is painful.

And yes it stacks with Defile flesh. I think reduced healing stacks up to 33%, 50% or 66%. I think it's 66% but I'm not 100% sure since it's been a long time since I've checked.
